A few years ago I became fascinated by miniatures and began making tiny items for collectors' dolls' houses, finding what I love best is making miniature flowers and plants. It shouldn't have come as a surprise because flowers were always a favourite subject for painting, and making them in miniature uses a lot of the skills learnt at art college, not least of which was learning to look at things intently.
I'm delighted to be a member of Artisans in Miniature and contribute regularly to the AIM free online magazine. Click on the link to go to the AIM website where you can access the latest issue and the archived back numbers.
The Miniature Beehive is an online group, founded by Fiona Broadband (Bea!) of Petite Properties, for sharing tips, ideas and techniques to help with miniature projects in all scales - we chat about both dolls' houses and model railways. Just click on the Beehive to go to the homepage and join us online.
